Dr. Hubert A. McGuirl

(1908-1977) ~ Inducted 1971

Dr. Hubert McGuirl, 1908-1977, was a Providence native who was the only Rhode Islander to serve as national President of the American Dental Association. He organized the New England Council on Insurance, and later the New England Council on Dental Health and Care. As a consultant to the U.S. Public Health Service, Division of Manpower & Resources he traveled across the country, seeking to improve and extend the facilities of dental schools.
