Dr. Anthony Corvese

~ Inducted 1976

Dr. Corvese, a veteran physician, was the first Italo-American to intern at Rhode Island Hospital.  Instrumental in organizing the first free children's dental clinic in the state, he also established a gynocological and sugical clinic at The House of the Good Shepard.  He was also a medical pioneer in the use of spinal anesthesia.
