~ Inducted 1977Dr. Browning graduated from Rhode Island State College in 1914, but recieved his Doctorate from the University of Wisconsin. As Director of Graduate Studies, Dean of Men, Dean of College Arts and Sciences, and Vice President, he played a prominant role in gaining university status for the former RISC, where a dorm is named for him. He was also a prominant Mason, of the 33rd degree.
